About the Literacy Project

The Piedmont Triad Partnership's commitment to bringing high wage, high skill jobs to our region requires that every resident has the tools to succeed in today’s dynamic and demanding economy. The Piedmont Triad Partnership believes that we all must be lifelong learners as our communities, schools and jobs ask more and different things of us every day.

This guide is provided so that all residents of our twelve counties can find the early childhood education, K-12 support, GED, ESL, literacy, career and technical or post-secondary education you may need to develop the skills in demand by Piedmont Triad region employers. There is a rich and diverse network of program providers in every county beginning with our community colleges, neighborhood programs and Employment Security offices.

Please contact your workforce development board or any of the providers in this guide to get started.

This guide was made possible through the vision and support of the Northwest Piedmont Workforce Development Board and completed with support from the Piedmont Triad Partnership's Department of Labor WIRED grant.

The interactive Literacy & Lifelong Learning Resources Guide for the Piedmont Triad Region was made possible by the Northwest Piedmont Council of Governments, the Northwest Piedmont Workforce Development Board and the Piedmont Triad Partnership's WIRED initiative funded by the US Department of Labor.
